Residents of historic High Shoals are dusting off their treasures, gathering items from their homes, creating art work, and selecting hand made products to sell in their first community yard sale. Antiques, gently used household items, and newly created art and home products will be available during this event. 

Organizers of this event are local residents whose strong sense of community sparked the idea of expanding the yard sale to mix and mingle with neighboring communities.  Says local artist and resident Leslie Moody, “I think this is a great way to get our community involved and acquainted with its neighbors.”

The organizers of this event, who include Leslie Moody, Susie Garrett, Jan Little, Barbara Daniels, and Vicky Pressley are all High Shoals residents.  Items being gathered for this first event include a mix of functional to decorative products geared to be of interest to everyone. Some of these items will include antiques and collectibles, original art, decorative items, old tools, vintage dolls, handmade soaps and skin care products, household items, lawn furniture, baby items, and electronics.

The First Historic High Shoals Community Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, June 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the charming Portico Church on Hwy. 186 in High Shoals.
